The event, now being termed as the "Joscenzura2004 Incident" concluded in the bogus purchase of over $100,000 worth of art from various art sellers, many of whom paid premium fees just to have their works seen in the auction forum.
Many sellers lost the premium fees from the their auctions that suddenly ended as the buyer went on a buying spree of mainly art.
Although Cash Art Studio sought a justified reimbursement of their fees lost during the fiasco, the online auction site simply replied with information that would only recover a few dollars of those lost during June 21 and June 22. While some sellers were reportedly allowed the reimbursement of their fees, the auction site has seemingly decided to keep the fees of others.
Many sellers have voice their feedback of the situation back to Cash Art Studio, and Cash Art Studio plans to find a solution to the situation soon. One method may be for an easier outlet for return buyers and new buyers to purchase the paintings from Duane Cash and Phet Cash directly the through the Cash Art Studio website.
This migration will rely less on forcing art buyers and collectors to register with an auction site just to purchase a painting.
